Sunday Baking

So I had some Dufour puff pastry in my freezer and I was trying to figure out what to make with it. Turns out there was a recipe on the box for rustic apple tarts, yum! And the awesome thing is I had all the ingredients!! I did make it a little different by adding raisins and walnuts. When they were golden brown and flaky, I knew they were ready to come out of the oven. When I tell you it was pure bliss to bite into this treat, I mean it!! So scrumptious, so perfect, so warm on this beautiful Sunday. It was just what I needed. I do have some extra dough that I might use for a “savory” tart filled with veggie crumbles, or veggie sausage and onions…I’m sure my teenager would be more than excited to devour some during the week for a quick snack.
